Corporate evening events in the Lake District that strengthen connection

Get your betting slips ready and binoculars to hand, we are off to the races! This event will give you the opportunity to don your best hats and slacks and have a flutter on the gee-gees. A wallet-testing evening of thrills, spills and risk taking, our corporate event race night will bring the highs and lows of a day at the races, without costing a penny. Participants can bet on their horses at our betting station then sit back and watch the race unfold before their very eyes. With numerous races over the evening there are plenty of opportunities to win or lose.

Everyone will get an introductory brief, given by our ‘professional jockey’, and issue race cards detailing the horse names, trainers and previous form. It is then an individual or group decision to choose the horse they think will claim victory. Anything can happen as the races will all be very close, keeping you and your team on the edge of their seats until the horses and also pigs, greyhounds and more!, pass the finishing post.

Our corporate quiz nights are hosted by a professional compere and will have you poised and ready as you take on your colleagues in some quick-fire rounds! We can offer a conventional standard Quiz with various rounds or also our Smart Phone Quiz for something a little bit different. If you’d rather keep it simple with a standard pub quiz that’s also great with us!

Themed around the amazing, tantalising local liqueurs and spirits we have in the Lakes we can style a variety of cocktails and drinks. If you want to get hands on, we’ll happily show you how to get the best from a range of ingredients you’d find in the average home to create some impressive craft cocktails complete with cool serves and garnishes. Non alcoholic versions available.

Our chocolate making workshops are perfect for any corporate occasion including team bonding or as part of an away day.

This is for a truffle workshop where the guest learns about the different tempering methods, they will make a truffle filling of their choice, and pipe that into pre-made truffle shells.

They will leave with a gift box of 12 bespoke truffles. Whilst we wait for the chocolates to set we also do a chocolate tasting, where they get to experience the different natural flavours inherent in chocolate.

Our Murder Mystery Events have cracked the case! Join us for a wonderful experience of mystery, suspense and laughter! Guests will be given specially created Identity and Information packs.  These will include background information about the particular character the guest will be playing, a detailed description of what is known about the discovery of the deceased, some photographic evidence and individual clues.

The Investigation Leader will guide the process of extracting evidence and summarising theories as they arise.  At appropriate times, extra evidence and clues will be introduced and breaks will be taken to allow time for the assimilation of the new information and for groups to exchange information.

The Leader will also guide the process of shifting evidence to the point where participants will be invited to reach their conclusions as to which of them is the guilty party and how and why the crime was perpetrated. Finally, the Investigation Leader will announce the “correct” conclusion and award certificates to all those participants who reached the correct conclusions with booby prizes for the not-so-accurate answers!

An experience with an authentic casino atmosphere.  Try your hand at Blackjack, have a flutter on the Roulette or keep your face straight at the Poker table. Complete with ‘special’ casino money guests can blow it all in one go or become paper millionaires!  Our professional croupiers will teach you the basics and keep you entertained throughout the afternoon or evening; this is the perfect accompaniment and enhancement to that enjoyable event or function.
