Outdoor Adventure Pursuits in the Lake District

With a huge natural playground on our doorstep, we can provide outdoor adventure activities in the Lake District and numerous outdoor adventures across the North West.

We provide challenging team building events and outdoor group activities that will take you into the heart of nature’s wilderness, experiencing the beautiful, scenic and awe-inspiring great outdoors.

Our instructors and guides are all national governing body (NGB) and first aid qualified so you’re in the best of hands at all times! From the majestic and imposing mountains and fells to the valleys and magnificent lakes and rivers, outdoor activities with See Events will leave you revived, exhilarated and inspired with a breath of fresh air.

From GPS orienteering, hiking and mountain biking, clay pigeon shooting, bush craft, abseiling, ghyll scrambling and canoeing, or don your ‘Barbour and hunters’ for one of our intrepid survival journeys or countryman days.

The options

Bush Craft

Our survival and bush craft courses are designed to give our participants a basic knowledge of survive in the wild countryside by teaching traditional outdoor know-how.

This session is a great way to begin your immersion into wilderness bush craft. Skills and topics covered can include an introduction to fire lighting, string and knot tying and basic shelter building. We also offer quirky variations such as pizza making and even baking your own afternoon tea complete with homemade scones and jam! Throughout the session there will be professional tuition and plenty of hands on experience in combination with clearly explained theory offing a fun, exciting and memorable event. Why not combine it with a canoe trip to add to your adventure?

I'm in the Lake District, get me out of here!

This Lakeland adventure challenge will have teams experiencing a range of outdoor pursuits and extraordinary challenges which will have them all shouting, “I’m in the Lake District, get me out of here!”

After an initial briefing, teams will take part in various outdoor challenges such as orienteering and navigation, bush craft and survival skills, food ‘delicacy’ challenges and even wild insect and animal handling!

All activities will be done under the watchful eye of our experienced staff; teams will be scored on various survival skills, abilities and ultimately whether they have got what it takes!

Lakeland Adventure Journeys

Our Lakeland Journey Events let you experience a variety of adventurous and enjoyable activities and challenges whilst exploring the stunning scenery and invigorating fresh air of the Lake District.

This can involve canoeing across a lake, orienteering on upland fells, foraging and cooking ‘natures’ lunch, aquaseiling down local ghylls and finally hiking across the lower fells back to your hotel; offering you the chance to view the Lakes from a truly unique perspective.

We work with you to make your journey exciting, challenging, fun and most importantly safe. All adventures will be led by fully experienced instructors who will make sure that everyone feels confident and has an extremely good time.

Survival Adventures

Has your team got what it takes to survive the Great Outdoors?

Take to the hills amidst this beautiful scenery and stunning views as you experience new pursuits. Arm your teams with a brief, rucsac and essential survival items and set them off on a voyage of discovery wandering into the unknown for an ultimate outdoor team event!

'GPS Geostashing' & Adventure Orienteering

Take a map, a set of clues, global satellite navigation systems, digital cameras and a team of individuals. To complete the course and challenges they must work together to decipher the clues, navigate around the rugged terrain & woodlands and overcome any obstacles.

Valuable points and feedback will be awarded throughout the event on skill, ingenuity and of course originality! Utilizing the equipment and team skills, each team collaborates to find hidden stashes.

Lake District Outdoor Activities and Country Pursuits

Don your Hunter Wellies and Barbour Jackets and join us for a relaxing day of country pursuits. Enjoying the invigorating fresh air and delightful country setting, try your hand at a few traditional country pastimes.

You will be greeted on arrival by our ‘country folk’ instructors then spend the day enjoying a number of activities such as archery, air rifles, clay pigeon shooting, canoeing and other thrilling challenges, all managed by our experienced and professional staff who will teach you the basics before supervising competitions. All levels of ability will be catered for and there will be no hurry to complete your session.

A Scenic Saunter Fell Walk

The English Lake District is famous the world over for its beautiful combination of lakes and hills, this event will have you immersed in the beautiful countryside and scenery, taking in the breath-taking views. It is an ideal way of seeing and exploring the best of the Lake District whilst taking part in an enjoyable and popular outdoor pursuit.

Our walks are guided by our expert instructors who will assist you along the way, pointing out areas of interest, nature, flora and fauna, scenic views and teaching you a few things about the Lake District areas.

Yachting Regatta

Prepare for an exhilarating sailing experience aboard our modern, fully skippered, 34-foot yachts.

Setting off from the jetty closest to your hotel on Lake Windermere, teams will be introduced to their yacht and skipper before setting sail and heading off out into the depths of the lake. The ‘crews’ then begin training on how to sail, including the allocation of tasks and roles to each person and a general acquaintance to yacht sailing.

When you get to work you will feel the wind in the sails as the yachts race along the water of beautiful Windermere, enjoying the spectacular scenery as you competitively vie for first place!

Raft Building Challenge

With a little planning and advice from our expert raft building staff, teams will design, build and create their own raft racing machine! Using poles, barrels, ropes and initiative they will aim to create a raft to stand the test of their team on the water.

This is a challenging and exciting activity with the group working together to build the greatest ‘water worthy’ vessel!
